The security between the drink water supply and the indoor water network is sometimes legally mandatory. The EN1717 provides a number of technical possibilities. Using water of safety class 5, such as rainwater, grey water, stagnant water, or water of unknown origin is a “free range” mandatory.
The Breaktank Break 7 by GEP is conform to EN1717 and has a type AA disconnection. This break tank is Belgaqua and KIWA certified. The Breaktanks Break 7 is equipped with a prefab installed pressure submersible pump. The pump has a pressure control so that pressure can be guaranteed on all disconnection points.
GEP Breaktank Break 7
Description
Application Area
The break tanks by GEP can be applied at installations where a short disconnection of the water network is requires or is mandatory. The most important reason to use a disconnection tank is to prevent the contamination of the water supply by the presence of substances in the event of back-flow of the water. This includes slaughterhouses, mortuaries, dentists, irrigation, laboratories, drinking water trays livestock, car washes, laundries etc. But break tanks are also used in systems with stagnant water such as sprinkler systems, extinguishing water, etc. Even in places where they add substances to the water, such as antibiotics, one is obliged to place a disconnection tank between the drinking water supply and
the indoor installation.
The GEP Breaktanks Break 7 is used in water systems where an industrial flow rate is required and where sometimes prolonged continues water usage can occur. Examples of these installations are in professional dishwashers, laboratories, medium sized irrigation systems, laughterhouses, troughs for livestock, laundries, car washes, etc.
The Breaktank Break 7 by GEP is equipped with a plastic indoor tank with a volume of 570 litres. The drinking water connection is located on the top of the unit with a type AA funnel and is conform to EN1717. This connection is Belgaqua and KIWA certified. The tank is equipped with a floater which makes sure that there is enough water in the tank. A prefab pressure submersible pump is installed in the tank. This pump keeps the secondary water network pressurized.
The Breaktank 7 is available with 3 different pressure submersible pumps which is to realise different specific demands regarding pressure and capacity. Everything is prefab installed and removable in order to realise fast maintenance and service. The breaktank is equipped with handles for an easy handling and mounting.
