A basket filter consists of a simple basket made of fine-mesh plastic gauze. The filter basket is installed directly in the upper part or the extension piece of the rainwater tank, or optionally in an inspection chamber before the rainwater tank. This solution can be an interesting option for the renovation of an existing system.
Although the efficiency of the basket filter is technically 100%, it requires regular maintenance. If the basket becomes clogged, there is a risk of dirt entering the tank water. In addition, all debris remains in the basket, which does not benefit the quality of the filtered water. GEP supplies various types of basket filters.
